2015 WAS SUCH a whirlwind for us. We learned how to be parents (since Finn was born near the end of 2014), we traveled back and forth from Toronto to Montreal upwards of 10 times, we found out we were moving to Toronto for Sam's job, we said goodbye to many good friends and packed our lives and moved to Toronto, we traveled to France with an eight month old, we found out we were having another baby, we celebrated three years of marriage, Sam started at a new job, we started going to a new church, and we moved our family to the east end of Toronto and found a place that feels like home. Our sweet Finn turned one years old and we saw the way the circle of life works as we said goodbye to some people we loved dearly and we welcomed some new precious lives into the world.
Sam and I spent our New Years Eve at home and made some delicious brown butter scallops with a mushroom risotto and roasted leeks. We reminisced about our favourite moments of 2015 and talked about all that we are excited for in 2016 (this new baby tops the list!). We watched a movie and relaxed and said our "Happy New Year"s as we drifted off to sleep just after midnight. I don't know if this makes me seem old (some days I feel old), but it was the perfect way to ring in the new year.
I am so thankful for my family, friends and for all of you who follow along in this little corner of the internet. We are starting 2016 off feeling incredibly blessed to live the life we live. Here's to another incredible year!
